Our Story
Orva started with a ski accident, a year of rehab, and a printed sheet of exercises that wasn't enough.
Recovery is what happens between appointments.
Patients spend a few hours a month with their therapist and hundreds without them. Orva was built for the hundreds.
It started with a ski accident.
I wrecked my shoulder skiing in Colorado and spent more than a year putting it back together. For most of that year I couldn't do a single pushup or pullup.
Almost all of that year happened outside the clinic.
My therapists were great. The paper wasn't.
The care I got in the clinic was excellent. What I took home was a printed sheet of stick figures.
It couldn't answer a question, adjust when something hurt, or tell my therapist a single thing about how I was doing.
The software was worse.
Colorado winters produce a lot of injured people, and friends in rehab got me into every platform on the market. Clunky, confusing, and plainly not built for the patient.
The industry had made software for billing departments and called it patient engagement.
So I started Orva.
One goal. Give patients a real way to stay educated and accountable between clinic visits.
That meant a consumer-grade app on the patient's own phone, built to the standard they expect from banking and shopping. Not a web link. Not a digital handout.
It's the 2020s. Nobody's bank mails them a printout.
Then we found RTM.
Remote Therapeutic Monitoring turned out to be the missing piece, a brilliant economic lever that rewards responsible therapists for adapting to the times.
So we built the logic and the platform to do both. Deliver the best home exercise program a patient can have, and capture everything a clinic needs to qualify for RTM along the way.
We call it Real RTM™.
No outsourced call centers. No bolted-on tracking. Your treating therapists deliver the monitoring themselves, and patients get an app they want to open.
That is Real RTM, and it is why Orva exists.
